Alright, first off, thanks for reading! Today is October 31st, 2008 and it is Halloween! BOO!!

 
Some of my best advice I have to give, for anyone that wants to become successful, is simple!

 
And that advice is to TAKE ACTION!

 
Simple, Right??

 
Most people will start off strong with their business and then fade away because they don’t see any results right away. Some will expect success overnight and  without any hard work!

 
Well, let me give it to you straight……….No B.S. here.

 
This is a tough industry. Making money on the internet is easy, but people make it hard!

 
What I mean is that people are not willing to put in the time, that is needed to become successful. It does take work and anyone that tells you different is lying to you!

 
I know that when I got started in the industry, I did not take action consistantly. Their were many reasons why this happened. I would get side-tracked with what other people/marketers were doing. I would not see any results in a matter of days with a new marketing strategy and I would just simply give up!

 
I didn’t understand why people were having success and I wasn’t.

 
One day, I sat down and got my piece of paper out and wrote down the reasons why I was not seeing successful results in my business.

 
The answer to my question was answered!

 
And that answer scared me……….I was not taking consistant action.

 
Their were several reasons that I wrote down that day.

 
Here were a couple of my reasons:

 
1.) I was wasting time worrying about what other marketers were doing

 
2.) I wasn’t willing to learn more marketing strategies, besides what I had already learned (MySpace & YouTube) (I wasn’t willing to be a student of this industry)

 
3.) I wasn’t consistant with my marketing! BINGO!

 
I wasn’t taking consistant ACTION!

 
Since that day, I made a promise to myself that I would take my business seriously and take consistant action day in and day out. I promised myself that I would not worry about what other marketers were doing.

 
And I made a decision, that I would become a life-long student to marketing in this industry.

 
You see my business changed when I started taking consistant action.

But, I still see a problem……..A HUGE problem!!

 
People are still not getting the proper ”Branding” that is needed to become successful online for years to come. I still hear people pitch, pitch, pitch their program, opportunity or their service. Now, I’m not saying that it is completly wrong to talk about your business, products or services, I am just saying that I don’t know anything about you! And you want me to join your business opportunity or buy your products?!

 
I see it everyday on YouTube…….People doing just that! Pitching their company or product when they should really be pitching their story!

 
The reason that this is huge for your online or offline success is that people want to get to know, like and trust you, before doing any business with you. You want people to relate to your struggles, frustrations and even your success!

 
Build Relationships to “Brand” Yourself! 

 
Now here are some simple steps that you should use, when marketing YOU!

 
1.) If you are using video to market, always say your name, where your from etc. - You should be able to tell peices of your story in a matter of minutes.

 
2.) Talk about your story, who you are, what you have been through, your struggles, frustrations and even your success! - ”Your Mess, Is Your Message”

 
3.) Own your name! - If you have not purchased your domain name, then I suggest you go do that!

 
4.) Always share your “Value”…….What are you good at?? How can you help people?? What can you teach them?

 
5.) You should always try and use a unique website that seperates you from other marketers. Give it a presence of a “Real” person. (Try not to use a replicated company website) 

 
6.) Let people know that you are not hiding behind a website. Let them know you are availiable to answer any questions they may have by providing your phone number, skype or email address

 
Now with that being said and me just being me!….LOL…….Go out and market! (But remember, YOU are the driving force behind your success!) Brand You!!

I first discovered this type of marketing late 2007. At first I thought people were crazy and thought it was just another scam.

 
But, the deeper I researched, the more I understood. My first encounter with someone marketing their business online, was of a lady that was talking about free leads and traffic that chased her. No more chasing your friends and family. She explained that she was using YouTube to post her videos to and that she would get natural rankings on google. (Google owns YouTube by the way).

 
I was instantly hooked to the concept, that internet video marketing could take my online businesses to the next level. Getting more exposure to my website. Video marketing was a new concept that people were using to talk about themselves and how they were making money using this incredible marketing tool.
